BIGGEST RUN WAS 14 BANCO IN A ROW.
STARTING BETTING AT $50 GOT UP UP TO $575 BET.
FINAL winning bet was $500 and in the middle won a $50 TIE BET FOR $400 !
WHAT CAN I SAY... I am still in SHOCK !

ARRIVED IN LAS - Day One

OK,
Arrived on time... all flights went smoothly, as well as the pick-up at LAS.
Got the usual suite... which is great, since I'm sure I will need a Jacuzzi at some point this weekend.
Got a quick bite, a little chinese, spicy General Tso's then I was off to play bigg baccc. around 1AM... Tony was working the bacc. room as expected, and we had 2 other players. Shoe was a bit choppy, no real good streaks, but did get a 5 in a row, which I chipped up to around a $200 bet... overall, not an exciting shoe... so, I only played for around 1.5 hours.... craps table was stone cold at the 'dust... gave it my best shot.. but, couldn't get anything to happen... walked around a bit, and then played a bit of roulette... this worked pretty well, since I hit a 8/11 split for $10... nice quick session... which I ended quickly.
Had a few more drinkies... and went over to the frontier for some low limit craps... this was pretty good... had a number of MAX ODDS bets which paid... though, max odds is only 5x in The Vegas at Frontier [unlike the 10x in Indiana] -- best play of the night was the hopping hard 10 which I hit... wish it was for a black... since that would have paid out 3k [lol]
Got to bed around 6am... had a pretty good nights sleep, though, woke up with a bit of the vegas headache... all better after a good breakfast.
off to Neimans to return my Gucci sandles that feel apart after only wearing a few times [no comment, but these were obviously poorly made] --- then, I am off to AMP for my haircut.
Dinner at WB's tonight, Havana Nights show... and Flyertalk drinkies at 11..
wish me luck ! [ya'know it is Chinese New Year tonight... should be a real busy baccarat night !]

Atlantis Baccarat Tournament

For those interested, Atlantis Casino in Paradise Island, Bahamas is hosting a $150,000 Baccarat Tournament on February 25, 2006.
Too bad I'll be in Puerto Rico the weekend before.
I'll post more info on the requirements, in a bit. If it is anything like the LVH tournaments, entry will be tough.

Street Smart Gambling

I prefer his approaches to dice and roulette, but he does have some interesting ideas in his new blackjack book. You have been warned... this is a very controversial read; especially the part about splitting aces. 19,000 Miles for Cancelled Flight

Finally got around to sending an email to NW about my horrible flight cancellation in December... really was a pain, since my Sunday evening redeye from Phoenix was cancelled, and Ellen was on her way to Atlanta. My backup plans worked out... but, it was the worst possible timing for a flight cancellation. NW will be crediting me 19,000 miles {? don't know where they came up with that amount] for my troubles. Just checked nwa.com --- got upgraded for my return redeye on Sunday night...
That is AWESOME... as it gives me maximum time at the Baccarat Tables... since LAS has special First Class security line which can only be used by ticketed FC passengers [not gold and platinums like most elite security lines].
NOW..... I just hope things are going so well that I miss my flight !
Just checked nwa.com --- got upgraded for my return redeye on Sunday night...

Just checked my flight status for Sunday night, 29 January;
for my LAS-DTW redeye connecting to beautiful Dayton International.
absolutely amazing, the flight NOW shows :
P8 F3 Y0 B0 M0 H0 Q0 V0 L0 T0 K0
just a few hours ago, it was P9 F9;
in translation, the flight is completely sold out in back, with just a few seats left in First Class. (the P8 and F3 referring to the 11 seats available for purchase in FC)
Took a quick look at the other NW LAS-DTW flights that day, and they are almost all sold out...
Guess a lot of people need to get home on Sunday.
Still have a pretty good shot at an upgrade, but it will probably be battlefield... I'm sure they will wait until the last moment to move some Elites up to FC --- freeing up extra economy seats in the process.
But, I can still dream [and hope] for the bump and a $300 voucher !

Well... the next trip to Vegas is less than a week away.
Just was checking my flight schedules... and my flight on Friday the 27th from MSP-LAS has already been upgraded !
Nothing that I love move than going to Vegas... is arriving in The Vegas in First Class... should get the weekend started right.. just better pace myself for the weekend.
Trying to get a flyertalk meet together for Saturday night.. so, if you are in town... make sure you stop by the 'dust on Saturday night.
